BLESS THIS FUCKING POST
Hello love~
A professor from the University of North Carolina has review over 1,200 of the most recent studies on bone health and confirmed what some have said for years, dairy and meat are actually bad for your bones.
It’s been determined that people with diets high in protein and amino acids from meat and dairy showed high levels of calcium in their urine, calcium that had been leached from their bones. The leaching of calcium is caused by dangerous imbalances in a person’s acid alkaline levels and can lead to osteoporosis.
The good news is that high acidity in the blood from animal protein can be neutralized by fruits and vegetables which also contain bone strengthening nutients like boron, copper, magnesium, folic acid, and vitamins C and K.
Dump the dairy and start sipping on some soy.
IIIINTERESTING
My biologist family is rolling their eyes and grunting up a storm.
They are calling massive amounts of bullshit, as it would be incredibly hard to trace where this calcium was coming from. Calcium can come from other places than the bones, so unless they had tracers throughout the bloodstream proving it came from the bone, it’s unlikely that’s what happened.
Just spreading a bit more info~~~
wuggly-ump replied to your post: teenaged boys yelling “HOW MUCH?” at me and my mom as we cross the street
Reminds me of the time a group of teenage boys yelled at me to “TAKE OFF YOUR SKIRT” while I was photographing stuff outside. I yelled back “TAKE OFF YOUR FACE” They stood there dumbfounded and slowly walked away, muttering confusion.
GOD I HATE THE WORLD
you, on the other hand, are wonderful
It was an amusing situation. But like. It could have gone worse. And it shouldn’t have had to happen. :/
Some people maybe need to learn respectful behaviours.
My friend, Ali, pointing out that the emotional part of my brain doesn’t have its priorities straight. 0_o (via theraptorwhomurderedlove)

punker kid was left to die from swine flu after ‘medics assumed he was a junkie’
“‘Presumably because he had a punk hairstyle and facial piercings they dismissed him as a junkie. But nothing could be further from the truth. My Peter never touched drugs and lived a healthy lifestyle.
‘He loved punk music, it was his life but having a spikey haircut doesn’t make you a drug abuser. I will always hold the doctors and nurses responsible for Peter’s death.
‘It’s just the disgusting way they treated my son. I think the attitude of the hospital staff is appalling, they just looked at Peter and just judged him for the way he looked.’
One nurse sent him home saying: ‘Do you realise we do have sick people in this hospital?’
‘When they arrived they just looked at him and asked him what drugs had he taken, and said he shouldn’t be frightened in telling them just because his mum was there.
‘He phoned us on Thursday evening crying and said he had never felt so ill in all his life and that he was hallucinating, probably because his temperature was so high.‘We finally convinced them he hadn’t taken drugs and they properly examined him and again said he didn’t need to go to the hospital. ‘He was too frightened to go to sleep because he was scared he wouldn’t wake up again.’ The next day Peter put himself in to a taxi and went alone to a walk-in health centre in Manchester city centre but was turned away again and rang his mother. ‘It was the last time I spoke to him, he just sounded so weak and tired,’ Susan said. ‘At the inquest the pathologist confirmed that it was swine flu and that he could have probably survived had he proper received treatment in time. It’s just unbelievable he was neglected in this way.’”
TRIGGER WARNING: The Good Men Project | “Dismantling the Men’s Rights Movement”
**Trigger Warning**
squee-gee:et-tu-dionysus:saynathespiffy:
David Futrelle, creator of the blog Man Boobz has an article at The Good Men Project revealing the so-called “Men’s Rights Movement” for what it is.
So basically… Not a lot of actual activism, a lot of misogynist rants, stuff like shutting down women’s shelters instead of raising money to make men’s shelters, bizarre and scary attempts at arguing that a woman wearing jeans but not having sex with every man that thinks she’s hot is “oppressing men”, disturbing mocking of assault and rape…
Actually, almost a full page of this 3-page article is about MRAs celebrating horrible shit happening to women. Including murder.
Yeah, so, when people demand to know why I supposedly don’t support men’s rights… this is why, guys. I see waaay too much of this shit to side with them.
“One would-be patriarch complained on a forum promoting patriarchy that “dressing provocatively and then suppressing male urges is an assault on men’s sexuality.”” I don’t even have words for how frightening this is.
Again, some men feel they have a right to have sex with us, whether we want to or not. That’s rape culture.
I am not posting this to educate my followers. Rather, this is being posted for my personal use when discussing these topics in public with strangers, acquaintances and classmates.
I feel so unable to convey my exact emotions with amusing moving pictures..
Dude, Pokemon is messed up.
Kind of loving Chris Sims (the dude who wrote this post) right now.
Brrr.
Holding hands may seem like an innocent gesture, but they show more than a simple interlocking of fingers. Your hands are one of the most essential parts of your body: you build with them, feed with them, hold with them, touch with them, fight with them; they are the tools of the human body. To take a hold of another’s hand is to break from living individually. It is to link yourself to another being, to momentarily entwine your life with another’s, to promise, for a moment, that you need not face the world alone. More simple, more aesthetically naive than other forms of affection, i.e kissing, hugging, sexing, the act of holding hands is often trivialized in its true implications. As the Beatles once said: ”All I want to do is hold your hand.”
